April is National Volunteer Month, and to celebrate we’re shining a light on our absolutely awesome food pantry volunteers!
So much is happening at the Food Pantry right now…most of all, we’re planning a move into a beautiful new facility hosted by Salem Baptist Church in Abington!
Our “Baskets From the Heart” donation drive is still going strong! We’re asking for donations of a bag or basket filled with themed items—like a favorite recipe with ingredients, a pasta dinner, taco night, or breakfast items—to create a delicious meal or dessert.
We had our first windowsill gardening class at the Cupboard this month!

This month we want to share the story of a new volunteer, Jadon, who comes to us courtesy of a new partnership with the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit that helps young adults build their resumes.
Our clients love the fresh produce we are providing this summer! We are so grateful to all of you who have donated veggies from your gardens, especially to our longtime donors from Congregation Beth Or’s “Corner of Our Land.”
