You probably already know that we support our pantry clients with food, household items, and personal care supplies. But we also want to honor clients’ dignity and humanity by fulfilling their needs with respect and compassion. That’s why we were thrilled to host a huge group on MLK day spearheaded by the Phi Beta Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
At the pantry, we take pride in offering a wide variety of healthy foods to our clients.
…and a special thank you to the Abington Township Environmental Advisory Council!
Every year Aidan Kaye stages a haunted house in his basement, and he requests a donation of canned goods for admission. Last month he collected a total of 548 pounds of food for us over the course of his two-hour “Moonlight Museum” haunt! Thank you to everyone who donated and helped him smash last year’s totals.
Our Food Pantry provides more than 150 families with Thanksgiving food each year. Can you help a family celebrate the holiday by donating a food bundle? We’re proud to be a part of the PA Healthy Pantry Initiative and would love to include low-sodium or sugar-free items in our Thanksgiving bundles this year!
With school in full swing now, we want to make sure that the children we serve get a good, healthy breakfast (and a hot breakfast is especially welcome now that the weather has turned cooler)! School snack items are also in high demand right now.
We’re looking for volunteers to help at the food pantry on Monday evenings from 5:15 to 7:30 pm and Saturdays from 9:45 am to 1 pm. If you’d like to help your community in a hands-on way with a fun and friendly group, please come to our volunteer recruitment event on
Looking back on this summer, we’re so grateful that, with your help, we’ve been able to provide food to everyone who has come to our doors.
