Food Pantry News for November

We’ve got so many reasons to give thanks this month. As always, our faithful individual donors came through with donations, our dedicated volunteers were there for intake and distribution, and we also had help from several groups:

  • The Arcadia University men’s ice hockey team (top photo) has partnered with us for the 2023-2024 school year. Last month the Knights visited us for a day of service and were great at helping clients, stocking shelves, and prepping bags for distribution. This month, they’re collecting nonperishable foods for us at the “Battle of Route 309” basketball games on November 15 versus Gwynedd Mercy University. The team is planning more events for the winter and spring, too. Thanks to the Knights for their support!
  • Our friends from Evonik (bottom photos) spent two days at the pantry to help with sorting and organizing donations. We’re grateful for all the work they did during their back-to-back service days!
  • The Abington Township Environmental Advisory Council held a donation drive at their paper shredding event on October 14 and gathered 268 pounds of food for us, along with $417 in cash!

If you’d like to contribute this month, you can find a list of items we’re always collecting at our website. We’re very thankful for your partnership in helping our neighbors get the food they need.
