21 Dec Holiday Happenings at Hope Gardens

The elves at Family Promise have been very busy!

We saw so many smiles earlier this month at our Peppermint Lane holiday shop for the kids at Hope Gardens, Hope Forest, and Hope on Fifth! Children were invited to choose from a huge spread of holiday gifts for their loved ones, all provided completely free of charge. Huge thanks go to Melody Karuschkat, who reached out to us to see if our kiddos would want to participate, and to Kate Vandegrift for volunteering to help set up and run the shop!

And our holiday program is going strong, with more gift cards being delivered every day. We’re grateful to these kind donors—some of whom have been supporting the program for many years—for their help in making the holidays bright for our families. This year, we’ve got 33 donors sponsoring 35 families, including all of our current residents and also some recent graduates.
