October News From the Food Pantry

With school in full swing now, we want to make sure that the children we serve get a good, healthy breakfast (and a hot breakfast is especially welcome now that the weather has turned cooler)! School snack items are also in high demand right now. Here’s the list of items we’re in particular need of:

Hot breakfast items like oatmeal and grits
Cereal bars
Snacks like Pop Tarts, healthy chips, pretzels, and so forth
Low-sodium canned goods
Canned fruit

We’re still recruiting volunteers for the Monday evening (5:30 to 7:30 pm) and Saturday morning (10 am to 1 pm) shifts. We’re also looking for volunteers who can:

clean the pantry
pack food bags
transport food
speak Spanish or French

Please contact LaToya Williams, the Food Pantry Manager, at food@fpmontco.org if you’d like to help out!

As always, we are so grateful for your donations of time and food to help keep our pantry running and provide food for children and adults in our community who need it. Thank you!
