02 Aug Food Cupboard Needs for July and August
It’s been a busy month at the Food Cupboard. We were so grateful to be the beneficiaries of food drives held by Abington-area first responders and the Abington Township Environmental Advisory Council. The 1000-plus (!) pounds of food from these drives have (mostly) filled our shelves, making it possible for us to help hundreds of families. If you’d like to run a drive for us, please email email@example.com.
We’d also like to recognize Pennypack Farm and Education Center for providing fresh produce all summer, as well as St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, St. Luke the Evangelist Church, Cub Scout Pack 72, Girl Scout Troops 747 and 789, and Sam’s Italian Market and Salem Baptist Church for their ongoing generosity!
Is your garden overflowing? If you have extra produce, we would love to see you! Donation hours are Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. And if you’re at the market this week and would like to pick up an item or two for us, here’s what we are low on:
Coffee (1 pound can)
Sweet and salty snacks (cookies, snack crackers, nut or trail mix, etc.)
Cooking oil or spray
Bars of soap
Thank you! We appreciate you!
The Cupboard is located at 1250 Easton Road, Roslyn (brick building behind Living Word Lutheran Church).
Donations are accepted on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10 am to 1 pm.
Food distribution occurs on Mondays from 5:30 to 7 pm and Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 11 am to 1 pm.
Call ahead to confirm daily hours, which can be affected by inclement weather.
