August News from the Food Pantry

Looking back on this summer, we’re so grateful that, with your help, we’ve been able to provide food to everyone who has come to our doors. That’s all due to the support of our community, which last month included the Abington First Responders, who held their annual food drive and collected more than 400 pounds of food!

We also wrapped up our distribution of Philabundance’s Let’s Eat boxes, with fresh produce and shelf-stable products to make unique, nutritious recipes—created by local chefs—that allow families to cook and eat together. We provided 100 boxes each week this summer to our clients, and the reviews were great. We’re excited to see what Philabundance has planned next!

If you’d like to make a donation this month, a list of the items we need is available on our website. We’ve also had some requests for school supplies, so we’re collecting notebooks, pencils, highlighters, folders, and other supplies.

Thanks for your support as we conclude our summer programs and head into the fall!
