Walking the Walk™ Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Interfaith Dialogue & Service

On January 18th, Inter-Faith Housing Alliance was proud to again be a part of The Interfaith Center of Greater Philadelphia’s Walking the Walk! This unique annual event was an opportunity for high school students of differing religious traditions to experience morning devotion at Trinity Episcopal Church, observe the afternoon call to prayer at North Penn Mosque and attend Havdallah service at Congregation Or Hadash. We are honored that the day was started with a service project benefiting I-FHA! Our families are very appreciative of the blankets made and the Welcome Baskets of cleaning necessities for their new homes. It was an eye opening day for all involved and we’re certain that the honest conversations and open dialogue will lead to some long lasting friendships between the students.
