Walking in solidarity

On January 13, Bethlehem Baptist Church hosted more than 600 people for its 22nd annual MLK Day solidarity walk and service. Local political officials and individuals from various places of worship took part in the day’s events, which included the presenting of four awards honoring the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King and his legacy.

Bethlehem Baptist Church Pastor Charles W. Quann said in a statement,

“It was truly a remarkable blessing to see people from all walks of life come together, particularly in our society and nation where we have so much division, racism, classicism, sexism.

Prayerfully this is something we will continue to do not only for MLK observance, but for the many opportunities to build a relationship with people from all walks of life.”
