A rainy morning didn’t dampen spirits at the 22nd Annual Golf Tournament and Luncheon on June 10. Almost 100 golfers braved the weather to enjoy a day of fun at PineCrest Country Club, and we’re so grateful to them for coming out and to everyone else who attended, donated, and volunteered for making our only yearly fundraiser a huge success once again!

Mark Harris, a longtime, now retired member of our board, received the second annual Ed Morgenson Volunteer of the Year Award, which honors Ed’s service as an Inter-Faith board member, congregation volunteer, and advocate. Mark’s commitment to Inter-Faith continues this tradition, and we were thrilled to celebrate his contributions, which have helped to shape our organization into the thriving and relevant program it is today.

New this year was a Golf Ball Drone Drop raffle: We sold tickets to purchase numbered golf balls, and a drone dropped the balls over the 18th hole. Wow, do those balls travel when dropped from above (watch the drop here)! Congratulations to the owners of the three balls closest to the hole, who won cash prizes!

Now for some thank yous. We are lucky to have an amazing golf committee, all of whom have been working for months to ensure the success of the outing: Rick Rodes, Chair, Lei Barry, Erin Cohen, Gene Davidov, Bob Walters, and Tom Wynn.

An army of additional volunteers put their talents to use for us. They helped during the outing on the course, at lunch, and at registration. They also worked tirelessly behind the scenes soliciting auction and raffle items, creating auction baskets, and so much more! Thank you to Rosemary, Juliane, Denise, Kris, Ginnie, Marlene, Jessica, Laurel, Maria, Heather, Elyse, Lucille, Leann, Rose, Cheryl, Sherry, Ryan, Denise, Kimberly, Sally, and Nancy!

We also thank the donors of noncash items for our silent auction and raffle. A special shout out goes to Minuteman Press of Ambler and SignPrinters of Lafayette Hill for their donation of signage for the outing.
