September is Hunger Action Month!

Hunger Action Month is an annual nationwide campaign each September, a time when the Feeding America network and the public come together to raise awareness and inspire action to help  our neighbors who are experiencing food insecurity. For many of the people we serve, a daily meal isn’t a choice between different dishes. It’s a choice between food and other crucial needs, like medical care, electricity, or childcare.

How can you help?

Donate. To see a list of the items we’re always collecting, please visit our website. We accept monetary donations too, which are very helpful for purchases of fresh foods like milk and to fill in any gaps in our shelves.

Volunteer. Email food@fpmontco.org or call 267.318.0607 to find out more.

Advocate. Contact your state and federal legislators to let them know that you support programs to ensure that children and families get the food they need. Or sign the Feeding America petition for robust anti-hunger programs like TEFAP and SNAP in the 2023 Farm Bill.

As always, we thank you for partnering with us to provide food, personal care items, and household supplies to our Montgomery County neighbors in need.
