Volunteers Help Family Promise in Many Ways

We express our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated volunteers every month! We want to shine a spotlight on Cheryl Kurpiel, a devoted volunteer at the Family Promise office located at Hope Gardens. Cheryl generously donates her time weekly, sharing that “I can see firsthand how Family Promise works and the positive change it brings to the lives of families.”

Cheryl’s administrative expertise, honed over 26 years at the First Presbyterian Church of Ambler, seamlessly extends to her role at Family Promise. As she answers phone calls, she guides callers toward valuable resources, and shares her creativity working with staff on projects. A memorable experience for Cheryl was helping resident J. organize her living space and kitchen after moving into Hope Gardens.

What Cheryl values most about Family Promise is its vibrant community of volunteers, drawn from congregations, businesses, and schools. “I always enjoy meeting new people who bring their own perspectives and diverse experiences, enriching the Family Promise team,” she says.

The Family Promise team wholeheartedly appreciates Cheryl’s dedication and talents, as well as the collective efforts of ALL our volunteers, who make our programs possible. Thank you!
