01 Feb Volunteer Spotlight

This month, we’d like to shift focus to one of our incredible volunteers, Jan Lattuca. Jan is the aftercare counselor at Hope Gardens, working with families once they graduate from our programs to check in and provide on-going support. You can find Jan in the office at Hope Gardens on Monday afternoons where she spends her time meeting with clients in person, over the phone, and through emails while connecting them with community resources and providing them a listening ear.

She enjoys reading, cooking, walking/hiking, traveling and, of course, helping others. In her own words: “I love the human service field and especially enjoyed my extensive work with the homeless, both as a Vocational Rehabilitation counselor in Denver, and during several years of volunteering after I took early retirement. I want to remain active and involved in this field for many years to come.”

It’s thanks to volunteers like Jan and her husband Gerry that we are able to help so many families. Thank you! We’ll be spotlighting more volunteers and organizations in the coming months- stay tuned!
