Volunteer Spotlight: Kids Who Care

All parents want to raise their kids to be caring, kind, community-focused citizens. We applaud those who start them young by serving Inter-Faith Housing Alliance and love to see those caring kids grow to be selfless adults.

For example, Inter-Faith first met Molly Harris as a grade schooler serving dinner to our Interfaith Hospitality Network families. Network volunteers share a home cooked meal “family style” each evening at host congregations. As members of Beth Or Molly’s family was happy to help. The seed of service was firmly planted in Molly’s heart; she later became our Interim Case Manager and is pursuing a career in social work! What a difference a dinner makes.

Thank you to Molly’s family and to everyone who makes service a family affair. You never know how one small act can change the course of a child’s life!
