19 Nov October volunteers

So many great groups of volunteers helped out this month, and we could not be more appreciative! In just 31 days:

– Our fall work day helpers assisted with the turnover of an apartment at Hope Gardens.

– Volunteers at our Ambler Oktoberfest booth helped spread the word about our programs. 
– Univest volunteers didn’t let a misty day stop them from trimming, raking and cleaning up our outdoor spaces at Hope Gardens and Hope Forest.
– Interfaith Hospitality Network coordinators came out on a very rainy night to share experiences and guidance in hosting our emergency shelter.
– Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority members from Temple Ambler cooked a delicious dinner for our monthly residents’ meeting
– Pennsylvania Lumbermans Group volunteers helped clean and refresh apartments and helped prepare one of our partner churches for their month of hosting emergency shelter.
– A group from First Presbyterian Church of Ambler updated the kitchen, including installing a tiled backsplash, in one of our residents’ apartments.
