05 Apr Calling All Congregations!

Is your church, synagogue, mosque, or other place of worship looking for a hands-on way to give back? If you are, we need you! We’re recruiting new host congregations for our Interfaith Hospitality Network.

Here’s how it works: Up to three families spend one month at the host congregation, where they sleep and eat breakfast and dinner. Their days are spent at work, school, or here in Ambler at Family Promise’s Day Center. Experienced “buddy” congregations are paired with each host and provide tons of support with meals, volunteers, and transportation, so you’re not all on your own! Most of our hosts don’t have dedicated space for their shelter month—they creatively use all types of spaces to house our families—classrooms, parsonages, or other safe spaces.
