25 Feb Recognizing the congregations of the Interfaith Hospitality Network
We want to say a heartfelt thank you to all the congregations that partner with us to provide emergency shelter — especially to those who have volunteered to house our families during the COVID crisis: Ambler Church of the Brethren, First Presbyterian Church of Ambler, Grace Baptist Church of Blue Bell, and Jarrettown United Methodist Church.
As one volunteer said, “we took a risk 30 years ago” [to become a shelter host] — this is no different…. I thank God for a mission board who continues to serve our community during a pandemic. And I thank God for this Hospitality Team who is seasoned, flexible, and always willing to work and serve.”
We are also very grateful to the “buddy” congregations, who have devoted so much time to supporting our families (from a distance!) since March:
