Congregation Spotlight: Bethlehem Baptist Church

This dynamic, diverse church’s motto “Love God, Serve People” plays out in everything they do. They offer a multitude of ways to worship: online, by phone, in church and even on television! More than anything, however, they understand that a key way to worship God is through the second part of that motto: serving people. This mission starts from the top down with the active community participation of their Senior Pastor, Reverend Charles Quann. The indefatigable Reverend Quann not only serves on the boards of many local organizations, including Inter-Faith Housing Alliance, but also leads a variety of worship services, writes daily devotionals, and writes monthly for the Philadelphia Tribune.

BBC also extends many invitations to the greater community with various interfaith activities, outreach, and worship opportunities. They most recently celebrated a moving Martin Luther King Jr. Service of Remembrance along with Salem Baptist church and the Wissahickon Faith Community, which our own Marsha Eichelberger was honored to attend.
