27 Aug A note from our Executive Director
How do the staff and volunteers at Inter-Faith coordinate services, operate facilities, and manage other complex tasks without getting burned out? How do our families cope with the trauma of homelessness to transform feelings of hopelessness and being overwhelmed into moments of joy, belonging, and optimism?
The answer is gratitude.
Here at Inter-Faith, we have so much to be grateful for each and every day. From the generous gifts of time and money that are shared with us to the positive changes that our families are able to make in their lives, we are immersed in opportunities to feel grateful in a humbling and wondrous way. The gratitude we feel is not just fulfilling, it serves as an important resource to sustain the work of our organization. It gives us all the strength we need to continue when there are challenges and setbacks.
Inter-Faith doesn’t just provide shelter, food, and education. We create community and opportunities for self-sufficiency with deep gratitude for all of the families, volunteers, and donors who come together through this organization. We thank you for caring and for joining with us to resolve homelessness and food insecurity in Montgomery County.
You probably have many things to be grateful for in your own life, perhaps your family, health, home, or career. One of the best ways to express your gratitude for the gifts and joys of life is to share. Through giving, gratitude grows! If you’re feeling especially grateful today, you can share the love with our families by offering your time and talent to Inter-Faith. No matter what your interests and skills are, there are lots of ways that you can get involved.
