A Message From Our Executive Director

This year National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week will take place November 11-18. This impactful week, an annual event designed to educate and bring attention to the issues of hunger and homelessness, was first held at Villanova University in 1975.

As we enter Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who stands by our side in the battle against these deeply entrenched issues. Increasing rents and skyrocketing food and gas prices have made this past year a challenge for the families we support.

HHAW is a call to action. It’s an opportunity for us to shine a spotlight on the challenges faced by our fellow community members and to collectively recommit ourselves to making a positive impact. Hunger and homelessness are not insurmountable obstacles, and with your support and commitment, Family Promise Montco PA is driving change, one family at a time.

During this time of awareness and thanksgiving I encourage you to get involved, to volunteer, to donate, and to advocate for change. Let us stand united in our mission to partner with the community to address homelessness and hunger, one family at a time. Together, we can build a world where no child goes to bed hungry and every family has a place to call home.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment to Family Promise and the community we serve and support. Your compassion, volunteerism, and generosity inspire us daily. Let’s make this week and every week an opportunity to bring about real change in the lives of those who need it.

With gratitude and determination,

Marsha Eichelberger
Executive Director
