09 Nov Meet the Newest Members of the Inter-Faith Family
We’re welcoming not one but two new employees this month!
Devon Lassiter (above left) is our new Case Manager. Devon comes to us with more than 10 years of experience in social service. She’s worked with various populations throughout the tri-state area as Director of SOAR Mentoring & Training Program, Program Manager of Rapid Re-Housing Services at Public Health Management Corporation, as well as an Intensive Case Manager. As Case Manager at Inter-Faith, she will oversee all programming for residents in the Interfaith Hospitality Network (emergency shelter), Hope Gardens, Hope Forest, and Hope on Fifth.
Devon joined Inter-Faith for the privilege to serve in her own community and county. “I hope to be able to inspire, encourage, and empower each participant I engage in some way,” she said.
And joining Sue Zomberg in our Community Resource group is Kyla Turbett (above right), our new Community Resource Coordinator. Kyla will be managing office, maintenance, and group volunteers and also pitching in wherever she can! Kyla was born and raised in Ambler and is excited to be a part of the team.
“When my mom started working at First Presbyterian Church of Ambler, we joined the church,” said Kyla. “Youth group, mission trips, and service projects became a big part of our lives. We were also introduced to a bunch of different organizations whose goal was to combat food and water insecurity, homelessness, and more—one of which was Inter-Faith.”
“It’s really special to work for an organization that I have history with….The more I learn about Inter-Faith and Family Promise, the more excited I am to help make a difference for families who are experiencing homelessness and hunger.”
