There’s a new face at Family Promise! If you’ve visited the Food Pantry this month, you may have already met LaToya Williams, our new Food Pantry Manager. LaToya brings some great retail and management experience and lots of fresh new ideas to help our pantry thrive.

LaToya is new to our area, so be sure to give her your recommendation on where to get the best cheesesteaks next time you’re at the pantry. She’s a native New Yorker, but she’s been living in Maryland for the past 11 years. She graduated from Morgan State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal psychology. In college, she started at Nordstrom as a part-time salesperson, and within the next year and half she was promoted to Assistant Manager. “Before I knew it, I was a Department Manager, which led to my seven years as a retail manager,” LaToya says. She was and still is passionate about customer service and helping people.

“I want to be able to help people on another level, by partnering with and helping the community,” she says. “That’s why I chose to work at Family Promise!”
