23 Jul Excitement for a Face Lift of Hope Gardens
Hope Gardens, a Family Promise housing community, marked its groundbreaking on October 23, 1994, and has since provided a secure home for low-income families with children for nearly three decades. Nestled within the vibrant Ambler neighborhood, an exciting transformation is about to take place. Under the thoughtful leadership of our board members and staff, a meticulously crafted plan envisions an updated facade and sculpted landscaping.
The exterior renovation, as pictured above, will feature a harmonious blend of neutral tones—natural stone, siding, and carefully selected window treatments. While the building evolves, existing trees will remain and fresh greenery in the form of bushes and flower will brighten the neighborhood. Completion of this renovation is anticipated this fall.
The renovation has been made possible through funds from the PHARE (Pennsylvania Housing Affordability and Rehabilitation Enhancement Fund) program. In 2022/2023, $61.5 million is PHARE funding was awarded to organizations supporting affordable housing initiatives across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
