Food Cupboard Updates

This month we want to share the story of a new volunteer, Jadon, who comes to us courtesy of a new partnership with the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit that helps young adults build their resumes. Jadon volunteers with us two days a week, stocking shelves, packing bags, assisting clients, and more. We are thrilled to help him gain the experience he needs to help him secure a job.

Jadon says, “I like working at the Food Cupboard because I am learning new skills all the time. I get to help people and the people that work there are nice. I hope I can inspire other kids to work there because it’s good for the community.”

We’re lucky to have Jadon’s help, because with the start of the new school year we are busy. If you’d like to make a donation, here’s the list of current needs:

Canned fruit
Granola/cereal bars
Mac and cheese
Snacks (salty and sweet)
Canned meat
Canned pasta
Baking supplies
Juice (bottles or boxes)
Cooking oil
Coffee and tea
Peanut butter
Diapers size 4, 5, 6
Laundry detergent

Thank you! We appreciate you!
