Learning and Educating Every Day

Every day here at Family Promise Montco is different. We are inspired by new opportunities and energized by the challenges of addressing homelessness and hunger in our community. Curious about how our staff approaches each day with aspiration and optimism?

At Family Promise Montco, we are dedicated to training and educating all staff members. As Executive Director Marsha Eichelberger says, “We empower each staff member, no matter where they are in their learning and experience.” Our goal is to energize the entire team, including volunteers, ensuring everyone feels connected to our mission. Through advocacy and transformation, we aim to reach both current and future leaders, helping them feel comfortable and giving them a voice.

One example of the learning happening at FP Montco is our participation in The Greater Philadelphia Leadership Exchange (GPLEX) conference. This annual event brings together a diverse group of non-profit, for-profit, and government leaders to strengthen civic engagement and enhance economic opportunities in our region. Each year, 150-200 leaders travel to a different major city to learn, explore, network, and develop innovative ideas. This year, our Food Pantry Manager, LaToya Williams, is among them!

LaToya shared her excitement: “I’m particularly eager about the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking discussions, learn from industry leaders, and explore emerging trends and technologies. I’m also excited about the prospect of building lasting relationships and collaborations with like-minded individuals who share a passion for driving positive change.”

By fostering an environment of new ideas and continuous learning, we create meaningful transformation and change. Next month, Meaghan McBride, Network Program Manager, and Kyla Turbett, Communications and Engagement Coordinator, pictured above, will travel to Indianapolis to join staff and board members from across the country at the Reignite: Family Promise National Conference. This conference will provide opportunities for engaging conversation and growth experiences through the shared commitment to address the crisis of family homelessness. By prioritizing continuous learning and growth, the FP Montco team can achieve greater success and satisfaction, both individually and collectively. This approach not only benefits the organization but also inspires innovation and progress across all levels.

Bring on each new day!
