An Idea About How to Support National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

This year National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (HHAW) is happening now, November 17 – 23. This impactful week, an annual event designed to educate and bring attention to the issues of hunger and homelessness, was first held at Villanova University in 1975.

HHAW is a call to action. If you’d like to support Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, here’s an idea for you. We’re looking for donations of basic needs like socks, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, and gift cards for our families. If you like, you can use our Amazon wish list to send items directly to our office. Or you can drop your donation off at 31 S. Spring Garden Street in Ambler during business hours.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who stands by our side in the battle against these deeply entrenched issues. Increasing rents and skyrocketing food prices have made this past year a challenge for the families we support. Thank you for helping us stand united in our mission to partner with the community to address homelessness and hunger –one family at a time.
