Sharing Our Voice in Harrisburg

On June 4, Family Promise participated in a Day of Advocacy in Harrisburg alongside the Bucks-Mont Collaborative and 100 nonprofit leaders. Staff, board members, and volunteers represented Family Promise in discussions with legislators about housing insecurity, homelessness, and behavioral health. The day included over 25 meetings with lawmakers from Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Participants had multiple opportunities to learn, share, and advocate for affordable housing and stronger behavioral health systems.

Good news: Since the event, the PA House passed HB1095, a bill to seal eviction records, with a vote of 105–98—a significant step toward housing stability.
