Family Promise Montco has been instrumental in helping Mya and her family transition from homelessness to finding a stable home. After being evicted, Mya and her children relied on couch surfing and code blue shelters. She reached out to Your Way Home and was placed on the family shelter waitlist, eventually being selected for the FP Montco PA shelter in June 2024. With the support of case management, Mya secured childcare, found a job at Saladworks, and collaborated with Family Services of Montgomery County to obtain a unit in Norristown. She is now part of the rapid rehousing program, her new home pictured above and enrolled in aftercare at Family Promise. As a graduate, we connect Mya with referrals and resources as needed to ensure their long-term success.
