24 Sep Talking About Transitions and Providing Support Resources
The beginning of a new school year brings numerous transitions for parents and families. Whether it’s starting at a new school, adjusting to earlier wake-up times, or adapting to new resource needs, these changes can be challenging for everyone involved. Such periods of transition often lead to stress and uncertainty, highlighting the importance of having support systems in place. This is where Family Promise Montco case management resources become invaluable for our families.
This month, Tiffany Jones, our Director of Program Services, shared, “I talk at our Community Meetings with caregivers about the feelings they may be experiencing as their children reach new milestones and may need different kinds of support.” Ms. Jones and the team at FP Montco are well-versed in community resources and can guide families with strategies for communication, staying informed about school and classroom information, and accessing educational programs.
All families in both the Family Promise Montco emergency shelter and transition housing program receive comprehensive support services designed to help parents care for themselves and their families. While transitions are an inevitable part of life, they don’t have to be faced alone. Case management offers a structured and supportive approach to help parents and families navigate these changes successfully.
