Today, we’re proud to share the inspiring story of K. and her young son, R.

After spending 90 days in our Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) Emergency Shelter, K. and R. successfully transitioned into permanent housing—a major milestone in their journey. During their time in the program, K. worked closely with her case manager to build a strong foundation for her family’s future. She secured Child Care Information Services (CCIS), enrolled R. in a local daycare, found employment, increased her county benefits, accessed mental health support, and ultimately achieved stable housing.

K.’s determination, paired with the compassionate support of our staff and volunteers, led to a powerful transformation. Her story is a testament to what’s possible when resilience meets opportunity.
