31 Dec Your Caring Has Made an Impact
In November, our community’s generosity was overwhelming, with the food pantry receiving over 35,000 pounds of donations from groups like Glenside UCC, First Presbyterian Church of Ambler, St. Luke’s, the Woman’s Club of Suburban Philadelphia, Suplee Presbyterian Church, Boy Scout Troop 320 of Flourtown, Rotary Club of Springfield, and many other individuals and organizations. These contributions enabled us to provide the essentials for a wonderful Thanksgiving meal for the families we serve. LaToya Williams, Food Pantry Manager, shared, “I want to express my heartfelt gratitude on behalf of Family Promise to all who volunteered and made donations to provide support throughout November.”
Additionally, on Saturday, November 23, Pennsylvania State Representative Ben Sanchez held his annual Turkey Drive at the Food Pantry (pictured above). It was a fantastic day filled with turkey and grocery donations. We are deeply grateful for Representative Sanchez’s ongoing support.
