Celebrating Our New Food Lockers

Family Promise Montco celebrated a significant milestone with the ribbon cutting of our new food lockers at our Food Pantry in Roslyn, located on the Salem Baptist Church campus. The event was blessed with perfect weather and the wonderful attendance of over 95 community friends and partners.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our inspiring speakers: LaToya Williams, Manager of the Food Pantry; Marsha Eichelberger, Executive Director of Family Promise Montco PA; Pastor Marshal Mitchell of Salem Baptist Church; Loree Brown Jones, CEO of Philabundance; and Montgomery County Commissioners Neil Makhija, Jamila Winder, and Thomas DiBello. We were also honored by the presence of Pennsylvania Senators Maria Collett and Art Haywood. Your support and commitment to our community’s well-being are deeply appreciated.

Special thanks to American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), and The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) Reach and Resilience grant for their crucial funding. We are also incredibly grateful to have received $1,880 in gift card donations and 80.5 pounds of laundry pods at the event.

As we move forward, we are reminded that our strength lies in our unity. May others be inspired to find innovative ways to make food more accessible and dignified for their communities. Thank you all who were involved with this journey!
