14 Feb Calling All Congregations!

Is your church, synagogue, mosque, or other place of worship looking for a hands-on way to give back? If you are, we need you! We’re recruiting a new host congregation for our Interfaith Hospitality Network for the month of April, and we have some openings for host and buddy congregations later in the year, too.

How it works: 

Three families spend one month at the host congregation, where they are provided dinner, a room for a nightly stay, and leave each morning. Their days are spent at work, school, or here in Ambler at Family Promise’s Day Center. Experienced buddy congregations are paired with each host and provide tons of support with meals, volunteers, and transportation, so you’re not all on your own! Host congregations use all types of spaces—classrooms, parsonages, or fellowship halls—to creatively and safely house our families.

What it takes:

• mission-minded congregation/clergy to lead the cause
• training sessions from Family Promise Montco staff
• enthusiastic organized leaders to work together to manage volunteers
