20 Aug Help Us Keep Our Shelves Stocked and Our Neighbors Fed
Dear Friends,
The need is growing—and the resources are shrinking.
The delay in Pennsylvania’s state budget approval has disrupted critical funding streams that support food distribution—lifelines for the Family Promise Food Pantry. These funds are essential to keeping our shelves stocked and offering families the dignity of choice. Without them, our ability to order food has been significantly impacted, resulting in a steep decline in the availability of essential groceries like milk, eggs, fresh produce, frozen meals, and pantry staples such as soup, canned meats, and breakfast items.Just six months ago, our food pantry could order from a robust three-page inventory. Today, that list has been reduced to just two items.
Despite these challenges, Family Promise continues to serve more families than ever before:
These numbers reflect more than statistics, they represent real families, children, and seniors who rely on us for their next meal.
How You Can Help
We need YOU—and the strength of our community—to rise to this moment. Family Promise is committed to being part of the solution, but we can’t do it alone.
