If you’re looking for a way to give back this holiday season, we’ve got you covered. Check back in the fall to get the details of how you can support families experiencing homelessness and hunger at Thanksgiving and for Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa.
The Family Promise Food Pantry provides about 200 households experiencing food insecurity with everything they need for a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. Closer to the holiday, we’ll publish a list of the nonperishable items a family needs to cook a Thanksgiving feast—everything from stuffing to cranberry sauce to something sweet.
Every year, our holiday giving program makes the season a little brighter for families in our programs—thanks to you.
Our holiday giving program matches individual, corporate, and congregation donors with families in our emergency shelter and at Hope Gardens, Hope Forest, and Hope on Fifth, along with recent graduates of our housing programs. Donors choose a family to support and purchase gift cards from a wish list, allowing parents to choose gifts for their children and helping them stay within budget during a very expensive time of year.
In 2025 the program supported 54 families—that’s 193 people, including 130 children!
We also collect items that will help us support families all year long! Items can be purchased from an Amazon wish list and sent directly to our offices.
