You might have already heard that later this year, Inter-Faith Housing Alliance is changing to a new name: Family Promise Montco PA. Family Promise is the leading national organization addressing family homelessness, and Inter-Faith has been a Family Promise affiliate for more than 30 years.
You might also have some questions.
Why are we changing?
Adopting the Family Promise name will allow us to take advantage of Family Promise’s national profile to better serve the families in our programs. It will open doors in fundraising and in advocating on behalf of the families we serve. It will allow us to draw on the expertise of hundreds of other Family Promise affiliates to make our programs as effective as possible.
What’s not changing?
We remain committed to working with the community–with people of all faiths, ages, races, ethnicities, and origins–to ensure that children and families can access the food, shelter, and comprehensive support they need to become self-sufficient. “Interfaith” may no longer be part of our name, but it is and will always be vital to who we are. And to communicate this commitment, our logo will include a new tagline: “An Interfaith Response to Homelessness and Hunger.”
We’re so grateful to you, our supporters in the community, for your contributions. We hope you’ll continue that support as we take this next step in the evolution of our organization!
