More Than a Tournament: A Community Driving Hope |

From first-time golfers to those who have been on the greens with us for decades, our 29th annual golf tournament was a powerful reminder of what is possible when a community comes together to create hope. Supporting Family Promise means ensuring that families do not face homelessness and hunger alone, but instead are provided with compassion, stability, and a path forward.
On a beautiful, sunny day at Old York Road Country Club, 120 golfers, 41 sponsors, and a dedicated team of volunteers, staff, and board members joined forces, raising more than $90,000 to help address homelessness and hunger in Montgomery County. Every swing, every raffle ticket, and every act of generosity reflected a collective commitment to lifting up families in need and restoring hope for brighter futures.
This event continues to thrive because of the people behind it, golfers of all experience levels, generous sponsors, and longtime supporters. Congratulations to our golfer skills contest winners, and to the thirteen Super-Raffle winners which added to the day’s excitement. This special day was made possible through months of planning by our incredible golf committee. Heartfelt thanks to Rick (chair), Lei, Shelia, Gene, Rose, Scott, Bob, and Tom for their dedication.
Volunteers, both familiar faces and new friends, embody the spirit of Family Promise and play a vital role in the event’s success. We are deeply grateful to Suzy, Eva, Cindy, Diane, Nancy, Betty, Ginnie, Grace, Suzanne, Denise, Jaden, and Dylan for the countless ways they contributed to the day’s impact.
We also extend sincere appreciation to our sponsors, whose generosity fuels our mission: Ambler Savings Bank, Asher’s Chocolate Co., Bethlehem Baptist Church, BLBB Charitable, Blue Bell Rotary Club, Caddick Utilities, LLC, Congregation Beth Or, Cornerstone Masonry Construction, Earth Engineering, Logue Family Holdings, Oliver Fire Protection & Security, R & R Wood Products, Inc., Wynnstay Foundation, and the Family Promise Board of Directors. A full sponsor list is available on our website.
We look forward to welcoming our incredible community back for our 30th tournament. We hope you join us! |

Join Us on June 2 for a Day of Advocacy in Harrisburg |
|
|
|
Family Promise invites you to stand with us and our community partner, the Bucks-Mont Collaborative, for an important day of advocacy on Tuesday, June 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Pennsylvania Capitol in Harrisburg. This is an opportunity to come together with advocates, community leaders, and neighbors who are committed to making a difference for families across our region.
Throughout the day, participants will meet directly with legislators and speak up for policies that support affordable housing and behavioral health. These issues are critical to the families we serve and to the long-term stability of our community. Decisions are being made every day that impact access to safe housing and essential services. This is our chance to ensure our voices are part of that process.
No prior advocacy experience is needed. Whether this is your first time or you have participated before, you will be joining a supportive group ready to guide and encourage one another. It promises to be a meaningful day of connection, learning, and action.
Together, we can help shape policies that create stronger, healthier communities. To learn more, visit the Bucks-Mont Collaborative. |

Caring for Families Through Donations |
Thanks to the generosity and initiative of J., through Devereux’s Community Autism Support Program, families in our shelter program received essential items that make a meaningful difference in their daily lives. As part of her support plan goal to create a new social or community opportunity, she organized a collection drive that gathered diapers, cleaning supplies, toiletries, snacks, and more, helping ensure families have access to the basic necessities that provide comfort and dignity. We are truly grateful for her thoughtfulness.

With the rumble of motorcycles and a spirit of service, the O-Six Ryderz MC (Motorcycle Club) rode in from the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia area for a day of service at our Food Pantry, bringing many helping hands and great energy with them. The group helped reallocate donations to our main site while learning more about our mission and taking a hands-on role in supporting our work.
With beautiful weather and motorcycles lined up outside, it was a great day of service and community impact. We are incredibly grateful for their time, partnership, and willingness to make the ride to support our organization. We look forward to welcoming them back in the future. |
