Stories about promises and partnerships that provide homes, food, and hope. |

As the holidays approach, you are part of something more than a festive season. This time of year highlights the strength of our community, rooted in generosity, compassion, and connection to neighbors who are struggling.
While this season reminds us of the power of community, it also brings into sharp focus the growing challenges many families continue to face. The need in our community continues to grow. More and more families are facing challenges that no one should have to face alone: homelessness, hunger, and instability.
Thanks to your support and partnership with our community, we are responding to urgent needs while expanding the ways we reach and support more families than ever before. Since November 1, following the discontinuation of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, we have welcomed many new and returning families to our Food Pantry. The generous response from our community has been truly uplifting, with increased food donations helping us keep our shelves stocked with hundreds of pounds of essential items. More than 30 new volunteer applications have been received, and current volunteers are generously offering additional hours to meet the growing need.
Every gift, every act of kindness, and every moment of support helps Family Promise provide shelter, food, stability, and hope for families in crisis. There are many ways to give: -
Join our monthly giving program
- Donate securities
- Amplify your giving with a gift from your Donor-Advised Fund
- Direct your gift from your Qualified Charitable Distribution
-
Donate cryptocurrency
Your gift matters. Together, we do so much more. Thank you. |

We are proud to share that S. and her son have successfully completed Family Promise’s shelter program, thanks to the unwavering dedication of our incredible volunteers and staff. The first few nights were filled with emotion and uncertainty, but through heartfelt conversations and steady encouragement, S. found the strength to persevere.
In less than 90 days, she achieved her goals and secured stable housing, a remarkable milestone that marks the start of a hopeful new chapter. While we’ll miss seeing S. and her son around, we’re overjoyed by the fresh start she’s embarking on in her new home. |

A Golden Celebration of Community and Giving |
|
|
Grace Baptist Church in Blue Bell recently hosted its Golden Harvest Jubilee Community Fall Fair, celebrating 50 years since the congregation moved from Philadelphia. The event was a joyful reflection of their long-standing commitment to serving neighbors and living out their mission of Grace in Action.
We are grateful that all proceeds from the fair were donated to support Family Promise. The day was filled with music, raffle baskets, bobbing for apples, face painting, food, fun, and fellowship. It was a beautiful example of community partnership and generosity. We thank Grace Baptist Church for their continued support and for making this celebration a meaningful moment for our mission and the families we serve.

Northeast Family Promise Affiliates Gather Together |
From Massachusetts to Delaware, Family Promise affiliates gathered for a two-day conference filled with laughter, ideas, and plenty of networking. Affiliate staff members shared how we do our work and how we support families in our communities. The Northeast Regional Conference was proudly hosted by Family Promise Montco and created a meaningful opportunity to connect, learn, and discuss ideas that strengthen our collective mission to address family homelessness and hunger.

Helping Hands to Build a New Roof |
Watch the video to see the inspiring work of our incredible volunteers from Helping Hands of Lenape Valley Church in New Britain. These dedicated teams generously donated their time, skills, and materials to replace the roof on the detached garage at our Hope Forest home.
Thanks to their hands-on support, the garage is now safe, secure, and weatherproof, saving Family Promise significant repair costs and allowing us to invest more in our mission-driven programs and services.
Their generosity and teamwork embody the spirit of service and remind us of the power of community. We are deeply grateful for their commitment to helping families thrive. Thank you! |
Brixmor Team Brings Big Engery |
What a day! We recently welcomed 10 first-time volunteers from Brixmor Property Group’s Conshohocken office to our Norristown office, and they came ready to roll up their sleeves. In just a few hours, the team tackled lawn work, moved a washing machine upstairs, painted a bathroom, and reorganized our food cupboard — all with big smiles and great teamwork!
They didn’t stop there: they also donated 94 pounds of food to help keep our pantry stocked for families in need. We’re so grateful for their enthusiasm, generosity, and can-do spirit. What an amazing example of how corporate volunteers make a real difference in our community! |
